Retinal “Strokes”

Retinal “Strokes”

Retinal “strokes” occur when blood flow in either an artery or a vein gets blocked off. “Retinal Artery Occlusion” or “Retinal Vein Occlusion” can result in loss of vision and sometimes bleeding in the eye.

Evaluation by a retina specialist is necessary to determine the cause of the blockage and to decide whether any further testing is necessary to find a cause of the blockage.

Treatment by a retinal specialist is sometimes necessary to improve vision or to prevent future loss of vision when a retinal stroke occurs.

How can we help you?

Our goal is to ensure that every patient is given personalized care and treatment and that all of their questions and concerns are fully addressed.

Scheduling an appointment with Dr. Win was a breeze. Due to my busy work schedule, I am only able to see him on Saturdays. I was quite nervous visiting Dr. Win about my retinal detachment as I have been ignoring this issue for quite sometime. He and his staff put my mind at ease. With several treatments, my vision has improved significantly. I love being able to see again.
