Retinal Tear

A retinal tear is a medical term used to describe when a part of the retina gets torn away from its normal location on the back surface of the eye. Retinal tears are often associated with floaters and/or flashing lights but may also be asymptomatic.

Retinal tears can result in retinal detachments (see below) which can occur slowly or rapidly. Retinal tears can be treated by a retina specialist with a laser procedure in the office to decrease the risk of retinal detachment.

How can we help you?

Our goal is to ensure that every patient is given personalized care and treatment and that all of their questions and concerns are fully addressed.

Scheduling an appointment with Dr. Win was a breeze. Due to my busy work schedule, I am only able to see him on Saturdays. I was quite nervous visiting Dr. Win about my retinal detachment as I have been ignoring this issue for quite sometime. He and his staff put my mind at ease. With several treatments, my vision has improved significantly. I love being able to see again.
